It’s been a busy but FUN weekend!
And I’m going to share it with you in pictures……
It started out with some 4-wheeling!
The girls and I had a good time on the ATV.
Saturday morning, we went to a Christmas Parade.
Both my youngest daughter Elayna and my stepson Tyler were in the parade.
Elayna was with her Middle School band.
Tyler was with the High School baseball team.
He’s in the white jersey, no hat.
I got to pet a llama!
We loved the Snoopy float.
It snowed in North Florida today! Well…some kind of fluffy white stuff, anyway!
It was overcast, and started to rain just as we were leaving the parade.
After we got home, it was time to celebrate my oldest daughter’s 18th birthday!
Shelbie’s birthday is on Thursday, but we had the party on Saturday.
We’d planned on having a bonfire, but the rain cancelled that idea.
We still had a great time though! We had the four F’s: Food, Friends, Family and Fun. We watched a movie, talked and laughed, and ate lots of yummy food. I made bacon-wrapped venison, grilled venison sausage, and venison chili. We had veggies and dip, broccoli & cheese casserole, and cake and ice cream.
My kids do not like store-bought cakes. So this is her homemade cake: yellow cake with milk chocolate icing.
Happy Birthday to You!
She blew out all the candles in one breath! All two of them. Ha!
Hayleigh made a new best friend: MamaKitty.
The normally-shy Hayleigh made herself comfortable on Kaley’s lap in order to be closer to MamaKitty! (Kaley is my stepson Tyler’s girlfriend)
Giving MamaKitty some love.
Playing with Tim’s chinchilla, Wiz. She has chocolate all over her face!
Opening gifts: this is a photo collage from my mom. Shelbie loved it.
This gift was from her boyfriend, Dusty (standing behind her). In case you can’t tell from that HUGE smile, she loved it. It’s a necklace and earrings and it’s her birthstone.
This is Shelbie holding her baby cousin, Alexis. Alexis is grinning at me because she finds me VERY funny (looking).
And this is Elayna holding Alexis.
We all LOVE those baby girls!
I hope you’re enjoying your weekend as much as we are!
